2D Game Artist

About the role

We are looking for a creative and versatile 2D Game Artist to join Fifth Games. The role focuses on UI/UX design, illustration, and asset production for our mobile games, using both traditional tools and generative AI workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Create and iterate on in‑game assets such as UI elements, icons, game objects, and simple visual components.
• Define, maintain, and evolve the visual and artistic style of our projects.
• Design intuitive, user‑friendly, and aesthetically pleasing UI/UX assets.
• Participate in feedback loops and contribute ideas to improve the product.
• Implement and optimise art assets within Unity while respecting performance and technical guidelines.
• Stay up‑to‑date with industry trends and emerging technologies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Art, Design, Visual Communication).
• Strong portfolio showcasing relevant 2D game, UI/UX, or illustration work.
• Open to feedback, solution‑oriented, and able to collaborate across disciplines.
• Passion for mobile games and creating engaging visual experiences.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency with Adobe Photoshop.
• Advanced proficiency with Adobe Illustrator.
• Experience using Figma or similar UI design tools.
• Knowledge of Unity asset integration and optimisation.
• Familiarity with generative AI tools and workflows.
