Accounting Agent – Customer Invoicing & Receivables

About the role

Expeditors is looking for an Accounting Agent in Istanbul to ensure timely and accurate customer invoicing, monitor outstanding receivables, and manage the Billed Not Paid (BNP) process. You will support cash‑flow objectives by following up on overdue invoices, resolving billing discrepancies, and maintaining strong relationships with customers and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and process customer invoices accurately and on schedule, verifying shipment and operational data.
• Handle credit notes, rebills, and invoice adjustments as needed.
• Monitor customer accounts, identify overdue invoices, and conduct follow‑up via email and phone.
• Investigate payment delays, disputes, and deductions; maintain BNP reports and escalations.
• Reconcile customer accounts, apply payments correctly, and support month‑end closing activities.
• Prepare aging reports, collection performance summaries, and assist with audit requests.

Required profile

• Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with operations, customer service, and branch management.
• Detail‑oriented and capable of handling multiple tasks in a fast‑paced logistics environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in using accounting systems for invoicing and payment application.
• Experience with accounts receivable processes and BNP management.
