Accounting Specialist

About the role

The Accounting Specialist will manage corporate tax, VAT and withholding tax return processes for a global pharmaceutical company. Reporting to the Budget Reporting & Accounting Manager, the role ensures accurate tax compliance and timely financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Enter and post invoices into the accounting system.
• Perform month‑end reconciliations with intercompany entities.
• Prepare and submit VAT, withholding tax returns and stamp tax declarations.
• Provide required documents and reports for annual and monthly audits.
• Prepare period‑end accounting entries accurately and on schedule.
• Manage VAT refund schedules and resolve deficiencies identified by tax authorities.
• Record foreign‑source invoices in line with legislation and fulfill related tax obligations.
• Correspond with tax offices, CPA auditors and other stakeholders to follow up on tax matters.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum 4 years of accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of tax declaration processes and legislation.
• Experience with VAT refund procedures.
• Good command of English.
• CPA internship experience preferred.

Required skills

• SAP (preferred).
