AI & Computer Vision Researcher – Robotics Startup

About the role

The AI & Computer Vision Researcher will lead the design, development, and optimisation of perception and decision‑making algorithms for OneSec’s autonomous food‑delivery robots. Working on‑site in Istanbul, you will translate cutting‑edge research into production‑ready models that directly improve delivery speed and cost efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and optimise computer‑vision and pattern‑recognition algorithms for detection, tracking and classification.
• Conduct applied research, prototype new methods and evaluate model performance on sensor and camera data.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering teams to integrate models into robotic platforms.
• Analyse experimental results, improve accuracy and robustness, and document findings for technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in Computer Science, algorithms, data structures and software engineering.
• Expertise in pattern‑recognition and computer‑vision methods for detection, tracking and classification.
• Experience in data science and statistics for experiment design and model evaluation.
• Demonstrated research skills including problem formulation, literature review and technical reporting.
• Ability to work on‑site in Istanbul, collaborate in multidisciplinary teams and communicate complex concepts clearly.
