Android Developer

About the role

Akakçe, Turkey’s leading price‑comparison platform, is building mobile experiences used by millions of users each month. We are looking for Android Engineers who can create reliable, high‑performance native Android applications that delight users and support our e‑commerce ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain native Android applications using Kotlin, Jetpack Compose and XML.
• Design reusable UI components and a maintainable application architecture.
• Collaborate with product, design, backend, QA, data and iOS teams.
• Diagnose crashes, performance problems, UI issues and data‑related bugs.
• Use analytics, crash reports and user feedback to continuously improve the app.
• Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions and write meaningful tests.
• Support the full application lifecycle from planning to release and post‑launch improvement.

Required profile

• Strong software engineering fundamentals and solid understanding of native Android development.
• Ability to reason about architecture, state management, API integration, persistence, performance and failure cases.
• Excellent debugging, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Ownership mindset and ability to collaborate with both technical and non‑technical teammates.
