Cable Technician

About the role

We are looking for a Cable Technician to join our facilities team in Istanbul. The role involves installing, maintaining and troubleshooting network cabling to support Marriott’s operations and guest services.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate with facilities staff and customers to understand requirements and ensure services are delivered as requested.
• Plan and coordinate equipment installations, moves, additions, changes and system enhancements.
• Analyze processes, recommend improvements and implement them.
• Troubleshoot network data issues and resolve non‑routine problems.
• Complete trouble tickets within cabling service level agreements.
• Maintain order and compliance of data network closets according to standards.
• Support special events, large moves and project work as needed.
• Maintain inventory of technology devices and cabling materials.
• Follow all company policies, safety procedures and report incidents.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least 3 years of related cabling or facilities experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• No supervisory experience required.

Required skills

• Knowledge of CAT5, fiber optic and power cabling capacities and standards.
• Network data troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with cabling standards compliance.
• Ability to use computer systems for ticketing and inventory management.
