Data Services Senior Specialist

About the role

Vodafone Turkey is looking for a Data Services Senior Specialist to support its wholesale and corporate customers' connectivity. The role covers SDWAN/SDLAN, Wi-Fi, Internet, MPLS/VPN and IP technologies, and includes troubleshooting, router configuration and coordination with other support teams.

Key responsibilities

• Support SDWAN/SDLAN, Wi-Fi, Internet, MPLS/VPN and IP technologies
• Support corporate and wholesale customers' P2P, xDSL, VFNET Fiber, RL and ME infrastructure
• Test, check and configure customer routers, switches and modems (Nokia, Huawei, Cisco core PE routers)
• Ensure permanent solutions for operational problems and follow predefined escalation procedures
• Provide quick resolution of support issues and coordinate other support teams (voice, security, cloud, etc.)
• Communicate with wholesale and corporate customers by conference call on technical issues
• Prepare LLDs for complex customer networks, performance and root-cause reports, and act on failing points
• Comply with information security policy, report suspected breaches and protect information assets
• Ensure business continuity plans comply with BS 25999-2:2007 and that BCM risks are assessed and mitigated

Required profile

• Degree in science or engineering
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the telecommunications sector
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience with routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, EIGRP)
• Good knowledge of Turk Telekom infrastructure and DC networks (ACI, Nexus, Dell, Aruba, Huawei, Cisco)

Required skills

• Hands-on experience with SDWAN/SDLAN, Wi-Fi, Cisco/Nokia/Huawei/Juniper routers, switches and modems, and passive network equipment
• Full knowledge of L2 networking, IP, Internet and MPLS/VPN
• Deep experience designing complex networks and traffic engineering and QoS
• Knowledge of CCNP/CCIE and NSE content
• Full knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
