Capex Purchasing Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Capex Purchasing Specialist to join our head‑office team in the Food & Beverage Services sector. You will be responsible for managing end‑to‑end procurement processes for capital‑intensive categories, ensuring compliance, cost efficiency and continuity of supply.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full purchasing cycle for assigned categories, from needs analysis and market research to tendering, negotiation and contract award.
• Conduct supplier research, develop alternative sources, and maintain supplier performance records.
• Coordinate contract expirations, delivery schedules and price transitions to avoid supply disruptions.
• Develop strategic purchasing plans based on category dynamics and submit them for managerial approval.
• Monitor market trends, identify cost‑saving opportunities and prepare regular price‑increase and cost‑optimization reports.
• Perform supplier risk assessments (financial, quality, compliance) and ensure non‑compliant vendors are excluded.
• Support internal stakeholders, minimize urgent purchases and enforce approval procedures.
• Participate in new product/service development, manage sample studies and reference checks.
• Oversee payment and progress‑billing processes, resolving invoice and delivery issues.

Required profile

• University degree in Engineering, Economics, Logistics, Supply Chain or related field; master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in construction, real‑estate development, architecture, retail, food & beverage or related service industries.
• Advanced proficiency in written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Experience using MS Project.
• Hands‑on experience with ERP systems for purchasing.
• Basic reading ability in AutoCAD and Revit.
