Chef de Partie

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team at a Marriott hotel in Istanbul. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high‑quality dishes, maintaining kitchen standards, and supporting the culinary team during busy service periods.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes, presentation and quality standards.
• Regulate temperatures of ovens, broilers, grills and roasters and ensure proper food safety procedures.
• Thaw frozen products in refrigeration, portion, arrange and garnish dishes, and maintain food logs.
• Prepare cold foods and assist with daily specials, informing service staff of menu changes and out‑of‑stock items.
• Monitor food quality and quantity, communicate assistance needs, and report excess items for special use.
• Follow company safety, security and uniform policies, and report any hazards or incidents.

Required profile

• Technical, trade or vocational school degree in culinary arts or related field.
• Minimum three years of hands‑on experience in a similar kitchen position.
• No prior supervisory experience required.

Required skills

• Proficiency in operating ovens, broilers, grills and roasters.
• Food thawing, portion control and garnishing techniques.
• Preparation of hot and cold dishes following standardized recipes.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
