Chief Carpenter

About the role

Raffles Istanbul is seeking a Chief Carpenter to lead the upkeep and restoration of all woodwork across the luxury property. The successful candidate will combine expert craftsmanship with a strong focus on safety and quality, ensuring that every piece of furniture and architectural wood element meets the brand’s high standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily carpentry maintenance, repairs, and preventive maintenance programs throughout the hotel.
• Manage wood finishing, polishing, and furniture restoration projects to preserve the hotel’s elegant aesthetic.
• Implement and monitor the trouble‑reporting system for woodwork issues.
• Maintain accurate engineering department logs and ensure timely completion of work orders.
• Coordinate with the engineering and housekeeping teams to schedule work with minimal guest disruption.
