Compliance Specialist – Global Ethics & Compliance

About the role

KONE is looking for a Compliance Specialist to lead the implementation, maintenance and improvement of its Global Ethics & Compliance Programme for the Middle East, Turkey and Africa (KMTA) region. The role is based in Istanbul Ataşehir and reports to the KMTA Compliance Manager located in Saudi Arabia. The specialist will support a compliance‑oriented culture and protect KONE’s reputation.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver training on compliance matters to ensure business is conducted in line with laws, regulations and internal policies.
• Support implementation and local improvement of global compliance policies under guidance of Global and APM Compliance.
• Conduct country‑level compliance risk assessments, develop action plans and follow up on implementation.
• Manage reporting channels for actual or suspected compliance violations and conduct internal investigations when required.
• Advise employees and management on anti‑bribery, anti‑corruption and other compliance topics.
• Promote a compliance‑oriented culture through awareness activities, communication campaigns and Code of Conduct initiatives.
• Analyse proposed business activities, policies and transactions for legal and regulatory compliance.
• Support HR and management in managing conflicts of interest and other compliance‑related matters.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in business, law, finance or a related field.
• Minimum five years of compliance experience, preferably in a large international company.
• Proven experience conducting internal investigations and knowledge of anti‑corruption regulations.
• Background in internal controls or internal audit is an advantage.
• Ability to work independently with a proactive, long‑term approach.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills, with fluency in English and Turkish.
• Willingness to travel frequently across the Middle East, Africa and Turkey.
