Legal Counsel

About the role

Paribu is seeking a Legal Counsel to provide day‑to‑day legal advice and manage corporate and commercial operations across its holding structure. The role supports both domestic and international growth, focusing on crypto‑asset regulations and financial institution compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal advice and manage corporate/commercial operations for companies within the holding group.
• Lead international legal processes, draft cross‑border agreements and ensure compliance with foreign regulatory frameworks.
• Oversee legal matters related to financial institutions in the group and advise on capital markets and emerging crypto regulations.
• Develop and implement legal risk‑mitigation strategies across all subsidiaries.
• Draft, review and negotiate complex agreements in Turkish and English, including partnerships and vendor contracts.
• Lead domestic and international M&A activities from due diligence to deal closing.

Required profile

• University degree from a reputable law faculty; LL.M. or Master’s degree is a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Turkish‑qualified lawyer, preferably from top‑tier law firms or corporate legal departments.
• Strong background in corporate law, commercial contracts and M&A.
• Experience with legal frameworks for financial institutions and cross‑border transactions.
• Fluent in English and Turkish, both written and spoken.

Required skills

• Ability to draft complex legal documents in Turkish and English.
• Negotiation, communication and project‑management capabilities.
• Design and execution of effective risk‑mitigation strategies.
