Contract Manager - Power Transformers Factory

About the role

Hitachi Energy is looking for a Contract Manager to lead contract management services for its local factories, making sure all contract activities follow the Company and BU Contract Management Guidelines under the leadership of the HUB Contract Manager. The role is based in Dilovası, at the Power Transformers factory.

Key responsibilities

• Contract portfolio governance: ensure the local business's contracts follow contract and claim management methods in line with BU and HUB standards.
• Tender preparation and negotiations: review and comment on commercial and technical tender terms with external customers, cooperate with the sales team on contact strategy, and join customer negotiations when needed.
• Risk review: support the sales team in preparing contractual terms and take part in risk review meetings.
• Contract execution: identify the contract baseline (terms, specifications, drawings, estimates, proposals, schedules) and highlight risks, supporting project management with risk mitigation plans.
• Contract closure: verify that both parties have fulfilled their obligations, assess success, document lessons learned and communicate deficiencies.
• Claims: support the project manager in preparing claims and defend Hitachi Energy's interests against customers and suppliers throughout the project life cycle.
• Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures and guidelines.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Law.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in contract management or legal work in an EP/EPC energy company or similar industrial plants.
• Experience with internationally staffed teams and international contractual partners, in a multicultural environment.
• Experience in negotiation, claim management and contract-related issues.
• Strong communication, negotiation, stakeholder management and leadership skills, with a systematic and structured approach.

Required skills

• Ability to negotiate in English, with fluent written and spoken English and Turkish.
• Commercial mindset with knowledge of business risks.
