Country Legal Counsel

About the role

Amgen Türkiye is seeking a senior in‑house lawyer to lead its legal function. As a member of the ELMAC Law Group and the Turkey Leadership Team, you will provide business‑focused legal advice across a wide range of areas.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver practical, commercial‑oriented legal counsel to support Amgen Türkiye’s operations and strategic goals.
• Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements, partnership contracts and other business arrangements.
• Advise internal stakeholders on regulatory, compliance, employment, data‑privacy and corporate‑governance matters.
• Support healthcare‑related activities, including market access, medical affairs and clinical research compliance.
• Provide legal training and guidance to promote ethical business practices.
• Manage disputes and litigation, coordinating with external counsel as needed.
• Represent Amgen Türkiye with industry associations, regulators and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with local, regional and global law teams to identify risks and develop solutions.
• Oversee external counsel relationships and manage the legal budget efficiently.

Required profile

• Licensed lawyer with a law degree from a recognized university.
• Minimum 6 years of post‑qualification experience in a leading law firm or multinational legal department.
• Experience in the life‑sciences or healthcare sector is preferred.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage.
• Strong analytical, drafting and communication skills, with proven ethical judgment and strategic thinking.
• Leadership, stakeholder‑management and the ability to handle competing priorities.
• Experience working in a matrixed global organization.
