Country Manager Turkey - Lufthansa Cargo (Hybrid)

About the role

Lufthansa Cargo is looking for a Country Manager for its operations in Turkey, working on a hybrid basis (remote and in the office). You will drive business growth, strengthen market presence and deliver operational excellence in this strategically important market.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop local sales and handling operations, driving revenue growth, profitability and market share.
• Identify new business opportunities, strengthen customer relationships and monitor market trends and competitor activity.
• Oversee safe, secure and high-quality cargo and aircraft handling, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and regulations.
• Manage relationships with business partners, service providers, authorities and key industry stakeholders.
• Lead, motivate and develop local teams and foster a high-performance culture.
• Implement Lufthansa Cargo's global and regional strategy in the local market.
• Oversee budgets, financial performance and cost efficiency while ensuring effective processes.

Required profile

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in the airline, logistics or transportation industry.
• Strong understanding of airline or logistics operations, ideally with knowledge of Lufthansa Cargo's processes and organisational structure.
• Willingness to travel and a valid driver's licence.
• Ability to work under time pressure and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to undergo the required assessment and screening procedures.

Required skills

• People management, budgeting, cost control and revenue management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
