Crop Manager – Agricultural Solutions Turkey

About the role

BASF Agricultural Solutions develops solutions that help farmers produce more efficiently and sustainably. To grow its business in Turkey, it is looking for a Crop / Portfolio Manager in Izmir, working in a hybrid setup. You define the portfolio strategy for your crop group, drive profitable growth and manage product launches and the product life cycle end to end with Sales, Technical, Regulatory and Supply Chain teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop crop and country strategies with regional portfolio managers, prepare the 3-year short-term plan and support the annual budget
• Run LCM projects, screen new product opportunities, build business cases, create product strategies and present them to management
• Set pricing strategy from competitor and market analysis, develop generic defence strategies and monitor product margins
• Define product differentiation with Technical and Regulatory teams, manage launch plans and train the sales team and channels
• Prepare sales forecasts, manage channel stocks and order plans with Supply Chain
• Collaborate with Regulatory on product life cycles, label expansions and registration strategies
• Coordinate supplier and distributor agreements, represent the country in global and regional teams and follow market trends
• Plan demos, field days and commercial actions, including seed treatments where relevant

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Engineering or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in crop protection or agriculture
• Ability to build business cases, P&L and pricing analyses
• Advanced English
• Analytical and strategic mindset with strong persuasion and negotiation skills
• Willingness to travel
