Design Engineer – Combustors & Structures

About the role

The Turkiye Technology Center, a joint venture of GE Aerospace and TEI, is seeking a Design Engineer to develop combustor and structural components for GE engine lines. The role focuses on new‑make manufacturing, solving producibility challenges, and driving engineering excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Design and assess parts for technology demonstrator programs, including combustors, cases, frames, and related components.
• Collaborate with global teams to ensure component designs meet business standards, procedures, and program requirements.
• Develop project plans with work packages, milestones, and objectives aligned to program schedules.
• Document lessons learned and contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Participate in daily management routines and KPI‑driven activities.

Required profile

• BSc and/or MSc in Mechanical or Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical component design engineering.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Proven ability to work cross‑functionally and influence technical decisions.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD modeling tools.
• Experience using simulation tools for design validation.
• Mechanical component design expertise.
