Desktop Support Associate

About the role

The Desktop Support Associate ensures the smooth deployment, maintenance and recovery of IT equipment across the organisation. The role provides hands-on support for hardware, helps with equipment lifecycle activities and contributes to inventory and logistics operations.

Key responsibilities

• Fulfil materials and equipment requests efficiently and accurately
• Deploy desk setups and monitor configurations
• Provide desk-side support and manage quick-fix solutions
• Collect IT equipment for terminations, upgrades or decommissions
• Assist with internal desk moves and hardware relocations
• Provide troubleshooting and Tier 1 support where appropriate
• Maintain and restock IT cabinets and vending machines, including Level 1 vending machine maintenance (training provided)
• Handle vending machine planogram changes, relocations and decommissions
• Proactively manage inventory within the deployment scope and track all hardware using internal data systems
• Manage e-waste logistics, support donation requests, receive inbound hardware and carry out physical inventory counts
• Support LATAM shipments and coordinate outbound logistics as needed
• Work with regional inventory teams, take part in cycle counting and complete special projects assigned by site leadership

Required profile

• Associate degree in IT, Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 1+ year of experience in IT support, help desk or desktop support
• English proficiency is essential for internal stakeholder communication
• Preferred: experience in logistics, warehousing or manufacturing; familiarity with inventory tracking or asset management tools

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook
• Strong verbal and written communication, time management and prioritisation
• Detail-oriented, able to work independently and in a team
