Director - Data Science & AI

About the role

Pfizer is looking for a senior leader to shape and accelerate AI‑driven commercial analytics across its global markets. Reporting to the International Business Aligned Data Science lead, you will build and manage a best‑in‑class team that delivers AI accelerators, from descriptive to predictive insights, that directly impact patient health worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of up to eight data scientists across multiple markets, ensuring high‑quality methodologies and deliverables.
• Manage in‑market demand intake, prioritization, and delivery for anchor markets.
• Define, design, and deploy native AI capabilities for international clusters and markets.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally to embed agentic AI into decision‑making processes and business transformation.
• Ensure AI accelerators generate measurable business value across use cases.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in AI, machine learning, and data science within a commercial environment.
• Strong consulting and product‑management background.
• Track record of hiring, building, and scaling high‑performing technical teams.
• Excellent executive communication, storytelling, and stakeholder‑management skills.
