Director of Spa

About the role

Aliée, the flagship luxury lifestyle hotel within the Tersane Istanbul, is looking for a Spa Director to define its wellness offering. This is a founding-member role in a new luxury brand, shaping the wellness destination from the start. The Spa Director leads all aspects of spa operations, curates guest journeys, inspires a high-performing team and safeguards the brand's wellness vision.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the overall operation of the spa and ensure daily performance and guest satisfaction.
• Develop and implement the spa's strategic vision in line with the Aliée brand philosophy.
• Recruit, train, coach and inspire therapists, reception, fitness and wellness staff.
• Foster a culture of excellence, accountability, collaboration and hospitality.
• Manage budgets, revenue strategies, forecasting, payroll and cost control.
• Drive retail performance through product knowledge, merchandising and team development.
• Create wellness programs, seasonal offerings and signature experiences.
• Maintain hygiene, safety, maintenance and regulatory compliance.
• Work with Rooms, Food & Beverage, Sales & Marketing and other departments, and build relationships with wellness partners and suppliers.
• Analyse performance metrics, guest feedback and market trends to drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Wellness Management or a related field.
• At least 8 years of leadership experience in luxury spa, wellness or hospitality operations, preferably in an internationally recognised luxury hotel or resort.
• Experience managing or working with multidisciplinary wellness teams (therapists, fitness professionals, nutritionists, medical or clinical practitioners).
• Knowledge of luxury wellness concepts, preventive health, longevity and integrative wellness programming.
• Commercial acumen with budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis and revenue optimisation.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English; additional languages are an advantage.
