Drone Design Engineer — CAD & Prototyping

About the role

OneSec is developing AI‑powered delivery drones to make food delivery faster and cheaper. We are looking for a hands‑on Drone Design Engineer to create, prototype, assemble, and test mechanical components for our autonomous drones.

Key responsibilities

• Design mechanical parts and assemblies for autonomous delivery drones using SolidWorks.
• Produce prototypes with FDM and resin 3D printing, CNC machining, composites and other fabrication methods.
• Assemble, modify, repair and test physical drone prototypes.
• Select appropriate materials, fasteners, bearings, adhesives and manufacturing processes.
• Improve designs for weight, strength, stiffness, manufacturability and ease of assembly.
• Investigate mechanical failures and rapidly redesign components.
• Collaborate closely with propulsion, electronics, embedded‑software and flight‑control engineers.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechatronics, Product Design or a related technical field.
• Strong SolidWorks or equivalent CAD skills and experience designing parts that have been manufactured and assembled.
• Familiarity with FDM or resin 3D printing and rapid prototyping.
• Comfortable using workshop tools such as drills, Dremels, saws, adhesives and hand tools.
• Good understanding of mechanical design, materials, tolerances, fasteners and manufacturing methods.
