Electronic Systems Supervisor

About the role

The Electronic Systems Supervisor leads the operation and maintenance of electronic, communications and electronic security systems, and manages investment, renewal and improvement initiatives so that systems run safely, efficiently and without interruption.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the operation, maintenance, repair, investment and renewal of electronic, communications and electronic security systems.
• Develop maintenance, inspection and incident response plans, plan task allocation, work schedules and backup coverage for the technical team.
• Analyse the root causes of recurring faults, implement lasting solutions and assess system capacity, performance, fault history and service life to identify investment and modernisation needs.
• Coordinate site assessments, infrastructure preparation, installation, integration, commissioning, inspection and acceptance of new systems.
• Assess technical requests from internal departments and coordinate solutions with teams and external service providers.
• Prepare and monitor budgets for materials, equipment and services; oversee technical specifications and the evaluation of proposals.
• Monitor suppliers' and contractors' compliance with contractual obligations, service quality and delivery schedules, and coordinate permits, licenses, certifications and instrument calibration.
• Maintain maintenance records, technical documentation and asset inventories, and report on availability, fault resolution time, schedule compliance and budget performance.
• Implement corrective actions from technical audits and support team training and development.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering or Electronics and Communications Engineering.
• At least 10 years of experience, including a minimum of 3 years managing technical teams in the operation, maintenance and repair of electronic and communications systems and technical project management.
• Experience in planned and preventive maintenance, fault diagnosis, root cause analysis and ensuring system availability.
• Experience integrating, assessing capacity and modernising electronic, communications and security systems.
• Experience preparing technical specifications, evaluating proposals, managing suppliers and contractors, and overseeing installation, commissioning and acceptance.
• Strong budgeting, investment planning and resource management skills.
• English sufficient to understand technical documentation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with data analysis and technical reporting skills.
• Working approach that prioritises occupational health and safety, quality and energy efficiency, plus strong analytical, planning, decision-making and communication skills.
