Environmental Engineer – Ready-Mix Concrete Operations

About the role

Çimsa is looking for an Environmental Engineer to manage the environmental performance, regulatory compliance and sustainability initiatives of its Ready-Mix Concrete Plants. The role covers environmental legislation compliance, water and waste management, dust and emission control, resource efficiency and environmental risk reduction.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor compliance of Ready-Mix Concrete Plants with environmental legislation, permits, licenses and legal requirements.
• Manage environmental permits, declarations, official notifications and reporting.
• Monitor, analyse and report dust, emissions, water, waste and environmental KPIs.
• Ensure compliant management of waste concrete, concrete wash water and sludge.
• Identify environmental risks, follow up on site inspections and improvement actions.
• Contribute to water management, resource efficiency, recycling and decarbonisation initiatives.
• Prepare for and support environmental audits and inspections by regulatory authorities.
• Support environmental awareness and training for plant employees and collaborate with Operations, Technical Services, Quality, HSE and Sustainability teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience in environmental management, preferably in Ready-Mix Concrete, Cement, Mining, Energy or Manufacturing; experience at Ready-Mix Concrete Plants is an advantage.
• Valid Environmental Officer certificate.
• Strong knowledge of environmental legislation, permits, waste and water management.
• Experience in dust and emission control, environmental monitoring and reporting.
• Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of sustainability, carbon management or decarbonisation preferred.
• B2 English, living in or willing to relocate to Adana or Mersin, Class B driving licence and willingness to make regular site visits.
