Fashion Designer / Senior Designer

About the role

A global fashion brand founded in 1988 in Kuzguncuk, Istanbul, with more than 7,900 employees and over 460 stores in nearly 70 countries, is looking for a Designer or Senior Designer. The role follows and interprets fashion trends and builds collections that fit the brand's objectives, quality and pricing strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Follow and analyse trends, innovations and key players in the fashion industry, including manufacturers and other brands.
• Design collections and products in line with brand objectives, based on an understanding of the target customer profile.
• Hold regular weekly meetings with the Buying team to gather insights on best-selling fabrics, colours and silhouettes and include them in collections.
• Interpret trends and innovations according to customer needs and preferences.
• Develop designs that match the brand's quality and pricing strategy.
• Follow up on fabric requirements and make sure fabrics are sourced and supplied at the right time.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design or a related field.
• Previous design experience in the relevant category, such as women's wear, men's wear, accessories or textile design.
• Strong interest in fashion trends, with a strong sense of style and aesthetics.
• Positive, team-oriented, eager to learn and patient.
• Good command of English is preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency in creating technical drawings using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Ability to develop original, creative designs aligned with the brand's target audience.
