Financial Controller

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller for a client in the fuel distribution industry. Reporting directly to Group Management, the role focuses on financial accuracy, internal controls, and providing independent insights while supporting restructuring and post‑acquisition integration.

Key responsibilities

• Review monthly financial results, management reports, and financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Monitor cash flow, working capital, receivables, payables, and inventory to identify financial risks.
• Conduct profitability analyses and evaluate budget versus actual performance, delivering actionable insights.
• Independently assess financial and operational performance and report findings to Group Management.
• Develop and improve internal control, financial reporting, and compliance processes.
• Support M&A activities, financial due diligence, and post‑acquisition integration.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum 4–5 years of experience in financial controlling, external audit, transaction services, or financial due diligence.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, cash flow, working capital, and profitability analysis.
• Experience in M&A, financial due diligence, and post‑acquisition integration.
• Good command of written and spoken English and ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.
