Financial & HR Administrator

About the role

The Financial & HR Administrator ensures accurate and timely financial administration using the Exact system while supporting HR processes throughout the employee lifecycle. The role works closely with internal stakeholders, external tax consultants, banks and other institutions.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update the general ledger, cost centres and project allocations in Exact.
• Process purchase invoices, sales invoices, credit notes and supplier payments, ensuring correct coding, VAT treatment and approvals.
• Perform bank, AP and AR reconciliations, as well as inter‑company, accruals and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing activities, including journal entries, accruals and provisions.
• Prepare VAT/GST returns, maintain tax coding in Exact and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
• Act as the first point of contact for invoice and payment queries from internal teams and vendors.
• Provide HR administration support for onboarding, career progression, off‑boarding, payroll changes and recruitment coordination.

Required profile

• Proficiency with the Exact ERP accounting system.
• Knowledge of VAT/GST preparation and statutory tax compliance.
• Experience handling month‑end and year‑end financial close processes.
• Ability to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners.
