Floor Supervisor

About the role

The Floor Supervisor ensures that guest rooms, public areas and facilities meet Marriott’s high quality standards after cleaning. This full‑time position coordinates housekeeping activities, liaises with other hotel departments and supports the management team.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect guest rooms, public areas and pool areas after cleaning to verify quality standards.
• Run sold‑room reports, verify room status, identify discrepancies and prioritize cleaning tasks.
• Update room status for departing guests and communicate changes to the next shift.
• Act as a liaison between Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office and Laundry to resolve issues.
• Prepare, distribute and communicate room‑assignment changes.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating and coaching staff.
• Follow all company, safety and security policies; report maintenance problems, hazards or incidents.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related housekeeping experience.
• Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Ability to lift, carry and move objects up to 55 lb unaided and heavier with assistance.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, kneel and perform repetitive motions throughout a shift.
• Strong communication skills and professional appearance.
