Frontend Engineer

About the role

Invent.ai is looking for a Frontend Engineer to build data‑dense interfaces that retail planners use for inventory, allocation, and pricing decisions. The role involves developing React/TypeScript applications and may include backend work to deliver end‑to‑end features.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and evolve web applications using React and TypeScript, handling large configurable grids, complex filtering, and multi‑locale formatting.
• Take ownership of features from design handoff to production, including backend changes and API contracts when needed.
• Write and maintain unit, component, and end‑to‑end tests, and contribute to backend code to accelerate delivery.
• Participate in frontend architecture discussions and improve shared components and design system.

Required profile

• 3+ years of professional web application development experience, with at least 2 years in production React projects.
• Strong communication skills in English and willingness to learn a business‑heavy domain.
• Openness to work across the stack and write backend code when required.

Required skills

• React, TypeScript, modern JavaScript (ES6+).
• State and server‑state management (e.g., Redux Toolkit, TanStack Query).
• Component libraries such as Ant Design and component‑driven architecture.
• HTML5, CSS, responsive layout techniques.
• Experience with unit, component, and E2E testing.
• Familiarity with Node.js, PostgreSQL, micro‑frontends, i18n/l10n, and data visualization (preferred).
• Hands‑on experience with AI agentic workflows (Claude Code, Cursor) (preferred).
