Global Network Banking Head, Turkey

About the role

Citi's Global Network Banking (GNB) serves some of the world's largest multinational corporations and seeks to increase and maximise its share of wallet and market share. As GNB Country Head for Turkey, you will set the strategic direction of the GNB business, covering people management, strategic client management, liaison with other parts of the bank and adherence to legal, regulatory, compliance, risk and policy standards. The role is a Senior Manager under the Turkish Banking Law, a trusted member of the executive management team supporting the Head of Corporate Banking and the General Manager of Citi Turkey, and reports directly to the Head of Corporate Banking for Citi Turkey and Central Asia.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a large client portfolio of local subsidiaries of global corporations and orchestrate delivery of the bank's products and services.
• Develop and execute coverage strategy, account planning, calling strategy and segmentation to maximise deal origination.
• Identify growth opportunities from regional and emerging market trends and communicate a forward-looking vision.
• Lead a team of Relationship Managers and Relationship Associates and build strong relationships with clients at the level of Treasurer, CFO and CEO.
• Work with Global Banking parent coverage partners and internal partners to deliver consistent coverage and innovative solutions.
• Analyse performance results and adapt strategy to optimise services and financial performance.
• Build trusted advisor relationships, manage client expectations and escalate, manage and report control issues while ensuring compliance and KYC policies are followed.

Required profile

• 15+ years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent; Master's/MBA from a top economics, business or financial engineering programme preferred.
• Fluent English; written and spoken Turkish preferred.
• People management, leadership and proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to balance internal management and external client time.
