Head of Contract & Claim Management

About the role

Siemens seeks an experienced Head of Contract & Claim Management to lead contractual matters across international grid control projects. Reporting to the Head of PMO Grid Software Solutions, you will ensure compliance, mitigate risks and protect commercial interests throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Manage contracts from tender to closeout, reviewing, negotiating and finalising in line with Siemens standards.
• Identify, assess and negotiate claims, variations, change orders and contract amendments.
• Develop AI‑based and automated contract review processes together with IT.
• Conduct risk assessments, maintain documentation and coordinate with customers, suppliers, Legal and Finance.
• Support bid/no‑bid decisions and provide contractual guidance to project teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Law or related field; master’s or PMP/FIDIC/NEC certification is a plus.
• 5–7 years of contract and/or claim management experience, preferably in energy, grid solutions or software/IT projects.
• Experience with complex international contracts and knowledge of FIDIC, NEC or similar frameworks.

Required skills

• Strong contractual, analytical, negotiation and commercial abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office and contract management tools; SAP experience is advantageous.
• Fluent English and German; additional languages are a plus.
