Head of External Affairs & Communications – Turkey

About the role

Roche Diagnostics Türkiye is seeking a senior leader to head External Affairs, Market Access and Corporate Communications across the Turkish affiliate. Reporting to the General Manager Türkiye and the Head of MC Central Asia and Caucasia, the role is a key member of the Turkey Leadership Team and drives the affiliate’s transformation toward patient‑centric, transparent, and trust‑based operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee External Affairs, Market Access and Corporate Communications functions.
• Develop and execute public affairs and government‑relations strategies to influence healthcare policy, reimbursement and pricing.
• Engage with key decision‑makers, regulatory authorities and economic committees to shape policy and improve patient access.
• Align affiliate activities with global and regional strategies, ensuring consistency and compliance.
• Manage external stakeholders, legal partners, contracts, litigation processes and risk assessments.
• Support audits, coordinate with authorities and institutions, and drive continuous improvement.
• Coach and empower teams, fostering a culture of fast decision‑making, cross‑functional collaboration and smart‑risk taking.

Required profile

• Visionary leader with a strong entrepreneurial and enterprise mindset.
• Proven experience in public affairs, government relations or market access within the healthcare sector.
• Ability to act as a central integrator across functions and navigate complex, volatile environments.
• Excellent coaching and people‑development skills, capable of empowering teams to achieve ambitious targets.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑management capabilities.
