Hotel Electrician

About the role

Fairmont Quasar Istanbul, a 5-star hotel in the heart of Istanbul's business district, is looking for an electrician to keep the property running smoothly. The role covers repairs across guest rooms, public areas, front office and back offices, preventive maintenance and emergency response, and requires full-time, shift-based work.

Key responsibilities

• Answer repair requests coming from guest rooms, common areas, the front office and back offices and keep the hotel always in good condition.
• Ensure preventive maintenance programmes are applied and all equipment is kept to the required standards.
• Keep tools, materials and work areas safe and in good working order to save costs.
• Respond quickly and effectively to emergency calls.
• Follow fire safety procedures and protect guests and staff safely, in line with environmental, health and safety policies.
• Operate the pool according to brand and local standards.
• Know the hotel's systems fully and keep records of work done at the end of each shift.
• Carry out other tasks assigned by the engineering director.

Required profile

• Degree from a university, college or vocational school, or a recognised professional qualification.
• 2-5 years of experience in the hotel industry preferred.
• Ability to adapt to shift work.
• Practical English is preferred.
• Only candidates who can communicate in Turkish will be hired.
