Human Resources Lead

About the role

Oculera is seeking its first dedicated HR Lead to build and own the HR function from the ground up for a growing international med‑tech company. You will partner directly with the founders and work closely with Finance and functional leaders to shape people practices across a remote, international team.

Key responsibilities

• Develop workforce planning and talent acquisition strategies, lead recruitment for software, engineering and other roles, and manage employer branding.
• Design and implement performance management, goal‑setting, feedback and development processes.
• Drive culture and engagement initiatives, translate company values into daily behaviours, and handle employee concerns with discretion.
• Partner on compensation and benefits, establishing salary ranges, pay review processes and ensuring internal fairness.
• Define organizational design, roles, responsibilities and HR policies as the company scales.
• Establish people operations including onboarding, off‑boarding, payroll coordination and HR reporting.
• Support international expansion by coordinating local employment requirements and working with EOR providers.
• Oversee HR compliance for Turkey, collaborating with Teknokent and relevant institutions.

Required profile

• 8+ years of HR or People Operations experience with leadership responsibility.
• Hands‑on recruitment experience for technology teams.
• Proven ability in performance management, compensation reviews and employee relations.
• Strong business and financial awareness to balance people priorities with budget constraints.
• Fluent in Turkish and excellent English.
• Comfortable with remote collaboration tools and responsible use of AI.
