Income Controller

About the role

Rixos Tersane Istanbul is part of the Tersane Istanbul waterfront destination project, which combines hospitality, lifestyle, culture, gastronomy, retail and entertainment. As part of its growth, the Finance team is looking for a detail-oriented, analytical and proactive Income Controller to review and reconcile daily revenue across the property.

Key responsibilities

• Review and verify daily revenue reports from all hotel outlets and operational departments, and reconcile them across the PMS, POS and financial reporting systems.
• Verify room, food and beverage, outlet sales and other income against supporting documentation, and check transactions, discounts, complimentary items, voids, refunds, allowances and rebates for proper authorization.
• Investigate revenue discrepancies, coordinate their resolution, and verify payment transactions against cash, credit card and other payment methods.
• Review cashier reports, cash deposits and outlet closing procedures, and monitor revenue posting so income is recorded in the correct accounts and periods.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly revenue reconciliation reports, maintain revenue documents for audit, and support month-end closing.
• Work with Front Office, Food & Beverage, Reservations and other departments, and recommend improvements to reduce revenue leakage.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field.
• Previous experience in income audit, revenue control or a similar position, preferably in a luxury hotel.
• Good knowledge of hotel revenue streams, daily revenue reconciliation, cashiering and internal controls.
• Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills, with good attention to detail and written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Familiarity with hotel management systems (PMS), POS systems and financial reporting tools.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial data analysis.
