Information System Specialist – Banking Institution

About the role

We are looking for an Information System Specialist to join the core IT team of a leading banking supervisory institution. The role focuses on maintaining high‑availability infrastructure and ensuring zero‑compromise data security across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Manage server virtualization within the VMware environment and perform installation, maintenance, patching and upgrades of Windows Server systems with zero‑downtime objectives.
• Direct network traffic, configure Fortigate and Check Point firewalls, monitor security logs and provide secure VPN access for authorized users.
• Enforce strict access controls using Active Directory and Group Policy, and resolve internal IT requests while meeting SLA targets.
• Administer MS SQL Server databases, optimise performance, and oversee multi‑layered backup and disaster‑recovery processes.
• Set up isolated User Acceptance Testing environments, audit outsourced vendor projects and support continuous improvement of internal applications such as Visual .Net.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Management Information Systems or Computer Technology.
• 2‑5 years of experience in IT infrastructure, system administration and virtualization.
• Strong ability to work within the strict compliance and ethical standards of the financial sector.
• Analytical problem‑solving skills and proven teamwork capabilities.
