Infrastructure Administrator - Backup, Virtualization & Cloud

About the role

The Infrastructure Administrator works on infrastructure and cloud projects, using infrastructure technologies to develop new products and services, manage data analysis and model training processes, and help define the company's artificial intelligence strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Design, operate and optimise backup and recovery solutions, mainly Veeam Backup & Replication, including jobs, proxies, repositories (immutable/hardened), replication and backup copies
• Run regular restore tests and ensure RPO/RTO and retention policy compliance, and support disaster recovery planning and tests
• Troubleshoot backup failures and performance issues and work with vendors on support cases
• Support VMware vSphere / VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) and HPE VM Essentials (VME) environments, and contribute to VCF automation, VCF operations and HPE Morpheus operations
• Administer virtualisation platforms (VCF, Hyper-V, Nutanix, HPE VmE) including lifecycle management and upgrades
• Install, configure and maintain server hardware (HPE ProLiant, Synergy, iLO, Dell iDRAC) and enterprise storage (HPE Alletra, Primera, Nimble) and hyperconverged platforms (vSAN)
• Handle hardware lifecycle, firmware updates and vendor RMA processes
• Monitor infrastructure and backup health, track software licenses and support contracts (Veeam, VMware/Broadcom, HPE, Microsoft), and contribute to capacity planning for compute, storage and backup
• Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks and operational procedures, and take part in incident, problem and change management
• Contribute to infrastructure design and sizing for new projects and customer tenders

Required profile

• At least 3 years of experience as an Infrastructure Administrator
• Degree in Computer Science, Electronics or a related field
• Relevant certifications such as VCP-VCF / VCP-DCV, VMCE (Veeam), HPE VmE and Azure
• Basic knowledge of cloud and AI technologies
• Ability to manage several tasks and projects in parallel and prioritise effectively
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured, root-cause approach
• Clear communicator able to work with internal teams, customers and vendors
• Proactive, ownership-driven and interested in open-source infrastructure tools
