Internal Audit & Process Improvement Senior Executive (Bonveno)

About the role

METRO, a leading international food wholesaler serving HoReCa, traders and others across Turkey, is hiring a Senior Executive for Internal Audit and Process Improvement at its Bonveno store in Bagcilar. The role covers planned, routine and ad-hoc audits of store operations and the improvement of processes.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct planned, routine and ad-hoc process audits at stores.
• Help develop audit plans based on field needs, operational priorities and identified risks.
• Evaluate store operations such as commercial standards, inventory management, goods receiving, waste management, cash and financial controls, food safety, employee processes, equipment, physical conditions and legal requirements.
• Communicate audit findings to store managers clearly and constructively, handling differing views professionally.
• Analyze recurring findings, identify root causes and help process owners define improvement actions.
• Spot process ambiguities, overlaps and control weaknesses and recommend better workflows and practices.
• Prepare clear, action-oriented reports for management and follow up on agreed action plans until completion.
• Evaluate links between store and head office processes, support investigations of suspected irregularities and join joint audits with Metro AG when required.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Industrial Engineering.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in related areas.
• At least 2 years in grocery or food retail, with a strong understanding of store operations.
• Experience in internal audit, operational audit, process analysis or process improvement.
• Ability to analyse processes end-to-end, identify interdependencies and assess their impact.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including data-based root cause analysis.
• Good command of English and willingness to work in the field with frequent store visits.

• Excellent communication, influencing and conflict management skills.

The head office working model is hybrid, with remote work on Fridays.
