Journeyman Electrician – LOGCAP Project

About the role

As a Journeyman Electrician you will ensure the highest quality standards for electrical installations, maintenance, repair, and new equipment on commercial and industrial projects supporting government initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Report to the Master Electrician or Supervisor and receive assignments.
• Oversee preventative maintenance schedules and coordinate inspections and repairs on instrumentation, inverter drives, DCS/SCADA, LV/HV motors, switchgear, control gear, ATS, variable speed drives, and specialized control panels.
• Maintain, repair, replace, or install a broad range of electrical equipment and systems for base construction and maintenance.
• Follow all safety rules, wear required PPE, and document work activities.
• Identify and correct deficiencies discovered during PMI/TI inspections.
• Submit material requisitions, track procurement, and ensure timely receipt of supplies.
• Maintain tools, equipment, records, and perform housekeeping tasks.
• Continue professional development in electrical technologies.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years relevant experience.
• Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent certification (U.S. or U.K.).
• Experience with both British (BS7671 18th Edition) and American (NEC) electrical standards.
• Familiarity with Fluke multi‑functional tester for BS7671 testing.
