Kitchen Helper

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Kitchen Helper to join our hospitality team at a premier hotel. In this role you will support the culinary team by preparing ingredients, maintaining a clean work environment, and ensuring food is cooked to the highest standards.

Key responsibilities

• Portion, chop, wash, peel, and store fresh fruits and vegetables.
• Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to recipes.
• Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers safely.
• Cook and assemble dishes, test for doneness, and monitor food quality.
• Prepare cold foods and plate meals in proper portions.
• Set‑up and break‑down work stations, clean and disinfect kitchen areas, tools, and equipment.
• Check and record appliance and food temperatures.
• Follow all safety, security, and company policies; report any hazards or incidents.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
• Minimum 1 year of related kitchen or food‑service experience.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 25 lb and perform repetitive motions for an entire shift.
• Professional appearance and strong communication skills.
• Commitment to confidentiality and protection of company assets.
