Legal Counsel (d/f/m)

About the role

We are looking for a Legal Counsel to provide comprehensive legal support for our operations in Turkey. The role covers corporate governance, commercial contracts, employment law, regulatory matters, compliance and data privacy, acting as a key legal partner to management.

Key responsibilities

• Provide solution‑ and business‑oriented legal advice to management and business functions.
• Support corporate governance and secretarial duties, including board minutes, resolutions and filings.
• Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements related to the company’s activities.
• Advise HR and management on employment law and employee‑relations matters.
• Monitor legislative and regulatory developments, especially in the energy sector.
• Manage compliance, data‑privacy and internal policy issues.
• Coordinate external counsel in litigation, disputes and administrative proceedings.
• Identify, assess and monitor existing and potential legal risks.
• Align local legal practices with Turkish law and RWE Group standards.

Required profile

• Law degree and qualification to practice law in Turkey.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in an in‑house legal function or law firm.
• Strong knowledge of corporate law, commercial contracts and employment law.
• Experience in the energy sector or another regulated industry is a plus.
• Advanced written and spoken English.
• Ability to assess legal matters in a commercial context with a results‑oriented approach.
• Excellent prioritisation, organisational and follow‑up skills.
• Proactive, accountable working style with strong communication and collaboration abilities.
