Low Level Control Engineer – Baggage Handling Systems

About the role

We are looking for a Low Level Control Engineer to join Vanderlande’s team at Istanbul Airport. The role focuses on the continuous operation, monitoring and optimisation of the baggage handling system’s automation and information technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse and report system performance of PLCs and baggage flow, identifying undefined behaviours.
• Create shift reports, raise and troubleshoot automation issues, and coordinate with maintenance and SCADA teams.
• Manage the lifecycle of tickets locally or via the global service desk, ensuring resolution within SLA for priority‑1 and‑2 incidents.
• Perform preventive maintenance, backups, patch execution and other change tasks.
• Produce documentation such as manuals, programming and network diagrams, and work instructions.
• Review ticket performance with functional managers and update processes according to change‑management procedures.
• Stay current with product line developments, firmware updates and maintain information in the Synergy database.
