Planning Specialist – Supply Chain

About the role

The Planning Specialist will act as a key liaison between suppliers and Ford Otosan, ensuring smooth material flow for manufacturing operations. You will coordinate with Ford Europe and global teams to mitigate supply constraints and maintain production continuity.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the end‑to‑end supply chain process between domestic/foreign suppliers and Ford Otosan.
• Create and monitor action plans for import suppliers facing capacity constraints.
• Allocate material to factories while constraints are being resolved.
• Identify and address supplier‑related problems that could disrupt supply.
• Analyze Tier 1 and sub‑supplier risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Monitor supplier risk situations and implement preventive measures aligned with company strategy.
• Coordinate with suppliers during production spikes or mix changes and develop joint action plans.
• Follow up on chronic balance issues with suppliers to minimise production impact.
• Prevent supplier‑related production losses and liaise with Business Development when losses occur.
• Develop Emergency Action Plans for critical suppliers during peak periods such as holidays or shutdowns.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Management or Automotive Engineering.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective communication skills and high personal motivation.
• Openness to innovation, learning and persuasive influence.
• Responsible, creative and dynamic teamwork orientation.
• Advanced level of English.
