Managing Director – Services Head, Turkey & Hub Countries

About the role

Citi Services is seeking a Managing Director to lead the Services business for Turkey and the Hub Managed Countries. Based in Istanbul, the role reports to the TIK sub‑cluster Services Head and partners closely with the Chief Country Officer & Banking Head of Turkey.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute short‑ and long‑term strategy for Services, driving financial growth and market share.
• Lead client engagement, product innovation, sales, and new‑business development across Turkey and non‑present Hub markets.
• Ensure risk, control, governance and regulatory compliance in line with Turkish banking law.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to identify, prioritize and fund technology projects that meet client needs.
• Prepare business cases, secure cluster/global approval, and align with Banking and Markets teams for a balanced country‑wide strategy.
• Manage and develop the Services team, fostering talent and performance excellence.

Required profile

• Senior leadership experience in financial services or banking, preferably within Turkey.
• Deep understanding of Turkish banking regulations and the ability to obtain required regulatory approvals.
• Proven ability to operate in a complex matrix environment and influence multiple stakeholders.
• Strong strategic thinking, financial planning, and risk‑management capabilities.
