Medical Affairs Manager – Advanced Surgery & Anesthesia

About the role

The Medical Affairs Manager will develop and execute medical strategy for Advanced Surgery and Anesthesia portfolios across the CEEMEA region, partnering with commercial and cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to and document medical inquiries and prepare scientific materials such as slides, brochures, white papers and reports.
• Plan, budget, organize and execute medical initiatives including advisory boards, investigator‑initiated research, symposia, masterclasses and sponsorships.
• Engage Key Opinion Leaders through field visits, peer‑to‑peer discussions, lectures, webinars and conference participation.
• Support surgical wet labs, anesthesia simulations and OR observerships with surgeons and anesthesiologists.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MD) in Surgery or Veterinary Medicine (DVM) with surgical and/or anesthesiology expertise; surgical nurses may also be considered.
• Strong understanding of disease states, clinical pathways, treatment guidelines and ability to translate scientific evidence into strategic insights.
• Proven experience building relationships with KOLs, scientific societies and regulatory authorities.
• Demonstrated resilience, adaptability and commitment to continuous learning in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Required skills

• Medical affairs and medical education experience.
• Scientific content creation and review (slides, brochures, white papers).
• Presentation and moderation of lectures, webinars and trainings.
• Ability to travel frequently (2‑10 three‑day trips per year) and work in OR settings.
