MSL Manager, Türkiye

About the role

Lilly is hiring an MSL Manager for Türkiye, reporting to the Affiliate Medical Director. The role is responsible for the effective and compliant implementation of the MSL programme within assigned therapeutic areas, with direct supervisory responsibility for a team of field-based Medical Science Liaisons. It covers team performance and development, quality of field operations, and building partnerships with field medical and internal colleagues.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise direct reports, including performance management and individual development plans, and coach them through frequent interactions and field visits
• Develop and implement training for new and experienced MSLs on scientific content, customer engagement and functional expertise
• Recruit and staff field positions and deploy the tools, processes and resources needed for field activities
• Manage geography and the team's relationship-building with Scientific Experts
• Define performance metrics, create and review activity reports and dashboards, and assess Voice of the Customer findings
• Monitor compliance with laws and Lilly policies through training oversight, documentation reviews and field observations
• Create and run strategic plans to improve team performance, and organize team meetings
• Take part in Area Brand Teams and partner with cross-functional teams
• Share scientific intelligence and clinical insights, align medical strategy with medical leadership, and manage the team budget

Required profile

• Health science degree (PharmD, MD, PhD or equivalent)
• 5+ years in the pharmaceutical industry, preferably as MSL or office-based medical manager
• People management experience
• Medical information/communication experience or expertise in a relevant therapeutic area
• Strong coaching skills, strategic thinking and excellent English
• Domestic travel is required for field visits; military service completed for male candidates is preferred
