Network and Cyber‑Security Administrator

About the role

Siemens Smart Infrastructure’s Grid Software division is seeking a Network and Cyber‑Security Administrator to design and maintain secure industrial network architectures for energy automation and smart grid products.

Key responsibilities

• Design secure industrial network architectures following standards such as IEC 62443, NIST, NIS2 and EPDK Cyber Security Competency Model.
• Implement, operate and maintain system security across operating systems, applications and network security devices, including endpoint, application and device control solutions.
• Lead OT‑specific cybersecurity projects through all phases (FAT, SAT, commissioning) and provide training and expert consultation to stakeholders.
• Prepare technical documentation, specifications and reports, and conduct site visits.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical‑Electronics Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Network and Cyber‑Security professional with strong knowledge of complex IT systems, networking protocols and OT security standards.
• Professional working proficiency in English; German is a plus.

Required skills

• Endpoint Security, Application Control, Device Control solutions.
• Switch, Firewall and Router configuration, network integration and OS hardening.
• Network Monitoring Systems administration.
• Linux, Unix and Windows enterprise environments.
• Design and deployment of core router/switch/firewall and data‑center networks, MPLS, DMVPN.
• Vulnerability analysis and penetration testing tools.
• Knowledge of IEC 62443, NIS2, CRA, EPDK Cyber Security Maturity Model.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNA, NSE4, CISA, CompTIA Security+, CISSP (optional).
