Power Transformers Electrical Design Engineer

About the role

BEST Transformer, a leading manufacturer of oil‑immersed and cast‑resin power transformers, is expanding its engineering team in Balıkesir. The Power Transformers Electrical Design Engineer will be responsible for creating reliable, cost‑effective transformer designs that meet customer specifications and international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Review customer specifications, contracts, and related documents to define technical requirements.
• Assess the feasibility of transformer designs within production capabilities and product range.
• Design electrical components of power transformers, balancing cost, quality, and compliance with ANSI and IEC standards.
• Perform technical calculations, cost estimations, and prepare detailed documentation using appropriate design software.
• Prepare order forms, procure materials, and ensure timely, accurate order processing.
• Conduct analyses, generate reports, and update design criteria based on test results and industry innovations.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of national and international transformer design standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electrical‑Electronics Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in transformer design (preferred).
• Strong command of written and spoken English.
• Proficiency with MS Office tools.
• Passionate about design, dynamic, and a strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Effective planning, decision‑making, and initiative‑taking abilities.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Balıkesir.
