Process Development Manager (Cement Plants)

About the role

Çimsa is looking for a Process Development Manager to manage company-wide operational excellence and improvement initiatives across its global cement operations. The role drives operational excellence, continuous improvement and the adoption of technical best practices, turning business priorities into sustainable process development initiatives. Candidates must be able to live in or relocate to Mersin or Eskişehir and accept regular travel for optimization visits.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement process development strategies across Çimsa's operations
• Plan, coordinate and monitor improvement initiatives on process performance, energy efficiency, product quality and cost optimization
• Lead root cause analyses and ensure corrective and preventive solutions are implemented and sustained
• Analyze operational performance indicators and lead projects to increase the use of alternative fuels and raw materials
• Perform heat and mass balance calculations
• Develop, standardize and promote process development methodologies, technical standards and best practices
• Coordinate process audits and promote digital technologies and data analytics
• Provide technical leadership for capital investment projects, including design reviews, commissioning, start-up, performance testing and optimization
• Lead, coach and develop the Process Development Team
• Ensure compliance with operational excellence, health and safety, environmental and quality standards

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering or a related engineering discipline
• 10+ years of experience in process development, process engineering or operations in cement, building materials or heavy industry
• Proven experience leading technical teams and managing complex projects and budgets
• Fluency in written and spoken English; Spanish is an asset
• Ability to reside in or relocate to Mersin or Eskişehir

Required skills

• Strong technical knowledge of cement production, including kiln operations, process optimization and energy efficiency
• Proficiency with performance tracking software and process control and optimization technologies
• Experience with continuous improvement methodologies
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
