Senior Mechanical Project Maintenance Engineer

About the role

Randstad Türkiye is recruiting a Senior Mechanical Project Maintenance Engineer for the Ankara manufacturing site of its global partner, a leading healthcare products company. The engineer takes part in the design, technical evaluation and field execution of the new factory's mechanical infrastructure, and later manages the reliable operation and maintenance of mechanical systems after commissioning.

Key responsibilities

• Take part in the design, technical evaluation and field execution of the new factory's mechanical infrastructure
• Review mechanical drawings, P&IDs, equipment datasheets and technical documents
• Monitor HVAC, cleanroom HVAC, AHU, chillers, heating-cooling, boilers, steam, condensate, compressed air, water treatment and process utilities
• Evaluate mechanical requirements of process equipment and coordinate with facility infrastructure
• Coordinate technically with EPC contractors, equipment suppliers and other disciplines
• Contribute to technical specifications, quotations and supplier evaluations, and take part in FATs for critical equipment
• Follow up field installations against project designs and specifications, and take an active role in FAT, pre-commissioning, commissioning, SAT and functional tests
• Follow up test protocols, acceptance documents and punch lists, and ensure as-built documentation is completed
• Plan preventive, corrective and predictive maintenance, determine maintenance strategies and spare parts needs, and carry out root cause failure analyses
• Manage external service providers, contribute to energy efficiency projects, and maintain maintenance procedures and technical documentation

Required profile

• Mechanical engineering degree; preferably 8+ years of experience
• Experience in industrial facilities, manufacturing plants or large CAPEX projects, including greenfield factory set-up
• Experience in mechanical design, field application and commissioning
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, P&IDs and technical documents
• Good command of technical English and strong project tracking, problem-solving and communication skills
• Able to work in the field and during intensive commissioning periods

Required skills

• Knowledge of HVAC, AHU, chillers, boilers, steam, compressed air and water treatment systems
• FAT/SAT and commissioning experience
• Contractor and supplier management
• Technical English and MS Office
