Procurement Specialist

About the role

Perfetti Van Melle, a leading multinational confectionery company, is looking for a Procurement Specialist to join its Supply Chain Department. Reporting to the Procurement Manager, the role focuses on sourcing direct goods and services, negotiating contracts and ensuring supplier performance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage purchasing of direct goods and services.
• Execute procurement activities to achieve financial advantage while meeting quality, quantity and timing requirements.
• Negotiate short‑term and long‑term contracts with suppliers.
• Secure alignment and approvals from relevant stakeholders.
• Monitor supplier performance against contract terms.
• Handle operational interactions with suppliers to ensure compliance.
• Coordinate purchasing processes in SAP, create and transmit purchase orders with correct documentation.
• Enrich and update the supplier portfolio through market analysis.
• Manage day‑to‑day communication with suppliers and support routine commercial matters and issue resolution.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Engineering or Business Administration.
• Minimum 2 years of procurement experience, preferably in the FMCG sector.
• Strong command of written and spoken English.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical and negotiation abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Working knowledge of SAP S/4HANA.
• Familiarity with Ariba procurement platform.
